servant of God.
(1) The ancestor of a family of Gadites dwelling in Gilead in Bashan, as reckoned in the days of Jotham and Jeroboam, kings of Judah and Israel, B.C. 825-742.

ABDIEL: ab'-di-el (`abhdi'el, "servant of God"): A Gadite who lived in Gilead or in Bashan, and whose name was reckoned in genealogies of the time of Jotham, king of Judah, or of Jeroboam II, king of Israel (1Ch 5:15-17).
